A Prayer for the new Christian-based law school in Downtown Shreveport

Read the article here.

"Oh, Lord, please protect these lawyers while they are being educated in Your most Holy ways in their private building in downtown Shreveport.

Bless their glassed-in tennis courts and basketball courts; may no one sprain an ankle there and ...be forced to miss City Court where all the sinful pot-smokers are rightfully being convicted for 5-10 years.

Lord, please don't let them trip over any homeless people as they make their way to their Divinely-appointed, sales-tax-free law school.

And after they graduate, Lord, please bless their McMansions and their Range Rovers and their law firms and the escrow accounts which are readily available to mooch from in order to build multi-million dollar homes at Long Lake.

May they be successful in carrying out the Napoleonic Code that was handed down straight from the lips of Jesus Christ.

And when we go hungry due to bankruptcy filings, false accusations, collusion among judges and attorneys who pay for each other's summer vacations, please forgive us for feeling a little sore that all our money was spent with these fine men and women who will protect us from our ignorant, Gentile-selves. Thank you, Lord, for the lawyers and for this blessed law school.

And thank you, Jesus, for what you taught us about lawyers, because sometimes that's the only thing that comforts me at night so I can go to sleep."
