Picture of Arrogance
Today I contacted Rep. Alan Seabaugh regarding a vote he cast on the House Floor. I disagreed with his vote and wanted to let him know.
Seabaugh called me ignorant because I didn't understand the bill. I asked him to enlighten me. Instead I got a lot of arrogant, condescending, rhetoric.
Finally, Seabaugh told me not to email him again; he had wasted enough time on me.
From my standpoint, the time was definitely wasted.
In contacting Seabaugh I used his taxpayer-supplied email address and the taxpayer-funded server. My taxes, I might add, paid for those services.
In the future, communications with Seabaugh will be very public just like this one.
If anyone knows Seabaugh please pass this message on to him. His taxpayer-funded email addresses are on the "To" line above.
Folks, when an elected official in Louisiana or anywhere refuses to allow a citizen to contact them, we have a major problem.
C.B.
